Your talent pool

Keep good candidates on file for future roles, mark how open they are, and move them to a job.

The talent pool holds people you want to keep in touch with for future roles. Each person in it has a status.

  • Available: Open to hearing about a role now.
  • Passive: Not looking right now. Worth keeping in touch for later.
  • Re-engaged: You have been back in touch and put them forward for a job again.

The screen also shows Shortlisted for someone with a live application at Interview or beyond.

Who can do this

  • Search the pool: everyone in the workspace, viewers included.
  • Add, change, move, remove or delete: owners, admins and members.

Steps

Add people to the pool

  1. Open Recruitment and choose Talent Pool.
  2. Click Add to Pool. The list shows people on file who are not in the pool yet.
  3. Choose a status under Add as.
  4. Type in Search by name or headline to find someone, then click Add next to them.
  5. Click Done when you are finished.

You can also click Add to talent pool in an application's details panel, or on a card's menu on the Candidates board. That adds them as Available.

Change a status or move someone to a job

  1. In Pool candidates, find the person. Use Search by name, skill or location… if the list is long.
  2. To change their status, click the … button and pick a status under Pool status.
  3. To put them forward for a job, click Move to pipeline, choose the Job and click Move to pipeline. They get a new application at Applied and are marked Re-engaged. They stay in the talent pool.
  4. To take them out of the pool, click …, then Remove from pool, and confirm. They stay on file with their details and applications.
  5. To delete them for good, click …, then Delete candidate, and confirm. This can't be undone.

Common problems

  • There are no open or paused jobs. Open a job first. Moving to the pipeline needs an open or paused job.
  • … is already in the talent pool. Nothing was changed.
  • Everyone on file is already in the talent pool. There is no one left to add.
  • Only the newest 1,000 pool members are read. Someone put on file long ago may be missing from the list and from search.
  • The role menu and filters do nothing. All roles, Filter and All sources are not ready yet (Coming soon).
