Finance dashboard
See your cash position, revenue, expenses, profit, what is owed both ways and your latest cash movements at a glance.
The Dashboard is your financial overview. It is worked out from your books with the same sums as Financial Reports, so the two always agree.
Who can do this
Everyone in the workspace can see the dashboard.
Steps
- Open Dashboard under Overview in the Finance menu.
- Choose the period at the top: This month, This quarter or This year. The quarter and the year follow the financial year end in Accounting settings, which is December unless you change it.
- Read the cards:
- Cash position, with Revenue, Expenses and Net profit for the period;
- Cash flow: closing balance and net cash over recent months;
- Expense breakdown for the period;
- Profit & loss: income against expense over recent months;
- Profit margin: net profit as a share of revenue;
- AR / AP ageing: what is receivable against what is payable;
- Bank & cash accounts with their balances;
- Latest cash book activity: money in and out, newest first. View all opens Banking.
If nothing is recorded yet, the dashboard says so and points you to Invoices and Banking.
