Your greeting and nudges
How AI Assistant greets you, what the line under the greeting means, and how to add local weather.
When you open the AI Assistant page or start a new chat there, it greets you and points to one thing that may need you. The Ask box on each product's Overview screen does the same for that product.
Who can do this
Everyone sees the greeting. What it points to depends on what your role lets you see.
In the demo, the greeting never points to waiting items and shows no weather.
Steps
The greeting line
The greeting follows the time in Malaysia:
- Selamat pagi from 5 am to noon;
- Selamat tengah hari from noon to 3 pm;
- Selamat petang from 3 pm to 7 pm;
- Selamat malam in the evening. From 11 pm to 5 am it asks Still at it? instead.
On a festive day, such as Hari Raya, Deepavali, Chinese New Year or Christmas, it wishes you for the day instead. A public holiday your workspace added in HR also counts: the greeting becomes "Selamat" and the holiday's name.
The greeting uses your first name. It takes it from Full name on My profile.
The line under the greeting
The line under the greeting is one thing that is waiting. AI Assistant checks these in order and shows the first that applies:
- HR approvals waiting for you
- finance approvals waiting for you (owners and admins only)
- shift swap replies waiting for you
- interviews today
- appointments today
- follow-ups due
- overdue invoices
- overdue bills
- new leads this week
If nothing is waiting, it shows a friendly question instead. Click the line to ask AI Assistant about it. The question is sent straight away.
On a product's Overview screen, the line only looks at that product. On Recruitment's, it can also show hiring applications waiting for review.
Add local weather
On a rainy, stormy, hazy or hot day, the greeting can mention the weather.
- Click 📍 Use my location for local weather under the greeting.
- Allow location when your browser asks.
The choice is kept in this browser only. Your location is rounded to about 11 km.
To go back, click Use workspace city. The weather then comes from City in Company details. If that is empty, no weather is shown.
Common problems
- No weather in the greeting. The weather is only mentioned when it is notable. It may also be that no location is set and City in Company details is empty.
- The location link is gone. If you blocked location in your browser, the greeting stops asking and uses the workspace city.
- The greeting has no name. Add your name in Full name on My profile.
