Move candidates through the pipeline
Use the Candidates board to move applications between stages, rate them, reject them or mark them withdrawn.
The Pipeline board on the Candidates screen shows every active application in one of five stages: Applied, Screening, Interview, Offer and Hired.
Who can do this
Owners, admins and members. Viewers can see the board, but the cards have no actions menu.
Steps
- Open Recruitment and choose Candidates.
- Find the card on the Pipeline board. Each column shows the newest 50 in that stage.
- Click the … button on the card to open its menu.
- To change the stage, choose a Move to … item. You can move forward to any later stage, or back one stage with Back to ….
- To rate the application, choose Rate 1 out of 5 to Rate 5 out of 5. Choose Clear rating to remove it.
- To end the application:
- Choose Reject if you are turning the candidate down.
- Choose Mark withdrawn if the candidate pulled out.
- Pick a Reason (optional): Skills not a match, Not enough experience, Salary expectations, Role filled, Could not reach the candidate or Other. Or leave it at No reason.
- Click Reject or Mark withdrawn to confirm. The card leaves the board.
- The menu also has Schedule interview, Edit candidate, Delete application and Delete candidate. It has Add to talent pool for someone not in the pool yet; for a pool member it shows In the talent pool: and their status.
Common problems
- An application can move back one stage at a time. Move it back step by step.
- This application is no longer active. Reopen it first. A rejected or withdrawn application has to be reopened before it can move. Use Reopen in the Applications details panel.
- Interviews are not cancelled. Rejecting or withdrawing an application does not cancel its scheduled interviews. Cancel them on the Interviews screen, and tell the candidate yourself.
- The search box, filters and Export do nothing. They are not ready yet (Coming soon).
